For my initial weekly post I am working on an article that looks at what the Pope really said in his lecture last Tuesday. Instead of reading about the address in the various news media, I thought it would be beneficial to actually read it for myself and give my take on the topic.

Well, Ben Witherington has posted an article by George Friedman that does what I shall attempt to do. It is interesting that Friedman takes his explanation a different route that I am currently taking mine. I will need to find out who Friedman is and if that could explain the nature of his understanding of the Pope’s lecture.
